Duck Mountain Provincial Park, located 12 minutes east of Kamsack on Highway 5, is one of the most beautiful parks in Canada. It is a mix of boreal and coniferous forest that is highlighted by magnificent lakes and majestic hills.
It features a huge variety of wildlife including elk, moose, deer, bears, wolves and many smaller creatures. It is a bird watchers paradise with hundreds of species of birds including geese, ducks, loons, swans and smaller birds such as robins, canaries and orioles. If fishing is your thing try your luck at one of our many lakes where you will find plenty of pickerel, pike, perch, trout and more.
When you finally decide to settle down for the evening you may find yourself in the campground at a serviced or non-serviced site. All sites have access to water and fire pits. If camping isn’t your thing try Duck Mountain Lodge where you can stay in comfort.
They feature large rooms, a lounge and restaurant. They also have condominiums and cabins for rent, which give you the feeling of being out in nature but offer all the modern conveniences.
If recreation is your passion you can swim in Madge Lake, sun tan on one of the beaches, golf at the beautiful Madge Lake Golf Resort, www.madgelakegolf.com, go horseback riding at Madge Lake Stables or take a hike or bike ride through one of the many trails.
In the winter you can snowmobile, ice skate, ice fish or go explore the many
groomed cross country ski trail. The park is also home to the Duck Mountain
Ski Hill which features 21 challenging runs, equipment rentals and a full service
chalet.
The activities are endless at the Duck Mountain Park so come enjoy them.
