Rescinding - Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory

The Water Security Agency, in consultation with the Sunrise Health Region, are advising that the "Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory" (PDWA) issued by the Water Security Agency for Town's potable water system be rescinded as of 2:00 pm Friday, August 7, 2015.



At the regular meeting of Council on June 22, 2015, Bylaw 17/2015 was adopted.  This bylaw allowed for increased to water, sewer and rates effective August 1, 2015.  The bylaw and rate increases were subsequently approved by the Saskatchewan Municipal Board on July 17, 2015.

The following rate will be effective August 1st, 2015:

Water rates:

  • Assiniboine Valley Rural Pipeline - $14.50 per 1000 imperial gallons
  • No change to residential or commercial water rates

Sewer rates:

  • Increase in monthly minimum charge from $12.00 to $15.00

Bylaw 19/2015 will be considered at the July 22, 2015 Council Meeting.  This bylaw proposes an increase in the residential rate for garbage pickup from $7.00 to $10.00 per month, effective August 1, 2015.

2015 Kamsack Swimming Pool Information 

The Kamsack Swimming Pool will once again be opening up for the summer, we will offer swimming lessons for pre-schoolers all the way up to adults. Plus there are times set aside for laps, family, public swimmers and those wanting to aqua-size in the evenings.
